Dior watches, a luxury timepiece brand within the LVMH Watch & Jewelry division, has announced that Stephane Barraque will assume the role of President of Dior Watches North America. The appointment will be effective as of September 15, 2008.
Mr. Barraque will transition over from his role with the Richemont Group, where he has served since 1993 in various marketing capacities. He began his watch industry career at Cartier International in Paris, where as Product Manager of the watch department he had considerable involvement with the development of successful Cartier collections including Santos, Pasha de Cartier, Roadster, and the Must de Cartier. Barraque moved to Brazil in 1998, following his appointment as the Sales and Marketing Director for Cartier in that country. Not long after, he became regional Managing Director for sister Richemont company Baume & Mercier, being responsible for the Caribbean region and Latin America. From 2005 onward, Barraque served as the International Director of Baume & Mercier where he crafted and refined the commercial strategies for the brand on a worldwide scale.
