Basel 2008: Ebel 1911 Tekton Chronograph Watch

The Ebel 1911 Tekton Chronograph watch is a dynamic, contemporary interpretation within Ebel's most famous collection of timepieces.  The Tekton Chronograph features a satin-finished 48.5mm hexagonal stainless steel case which is equipped with sapphire crystals, screw-down chronograph pushers and a screw-down winding crown.  The strikingly designed bezel is polished along its bevels, and is decorated with a series of screws.  The time and chronograph functions are shown in the spectacular, three-dimensional dial which reveals sections of the mechanism, and emphasizes the technicality of the chronograph functions.  Chronograph minutes are shown via the central indicator, which is traversed by the central red three-armed disc, while chronograph hours appear in the rotating scale at 6 o'clock.  A small three-armed disc at 9 o'clock indicates small seconds, and the date display appears in a small window at 3.  Luminous strips on the hands and hour indices ensure legibility by day or night. 

The Ebel 1911 Tekton Chronograph watch is animated by the Caliber 139 movement, a self-winding mechanism produced in-house at Ebel; it has earned the title of "Swiss Chronometer" after passing 15 days of tests carried out by the Contr?le Officiel Suisse des Chronometres (COSC).  

Each Ebel 1911 Tekton Chronograph is supplied with an alligator strap and a stainless steel deployant clasp engraved with the Ebel brand symbol.  The timepiece is water resistant to a depth of 200 meters.
