Pierre DeRoche GrandCliff Double Retrograde Skyscrapers Watch

Swiss watch brand Pierre DeRoche has introduced a new timepiece inspired by the towering skyline of great cities.  The Pierre DeRoche GrandCliff Double Retrograde Skyscrapers watch features a polished and satin-finished stainless steel case, a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal, and a large crown with an aggressive knurled texture.  Comprised of over 50 individual elements, the complex dial with its bold divisions of black and silver evokes the vertical world of towering skyscrapers, an aesthetic concept reinforced by the off-centered retrograde hour and minute hands with "spire" tips.  Complimented by an adjacent small seconds subdial, the hour and minute hands both travel over semi-circular scales, snapping instantly back to their starting position at the turn of the hour.

The Pierre DeRoche GrandCliff Double Retrograde watch is animated by a mechanical movement from Dubois-Depraz.  This automatic caliber is protected beneath a solid steel caseback secured with six screws.  An engraving of three buildings and the words "Skyscrapers GrandCliff" commemorates the creative muse behind the timepiece.  

Each Pierre DeRoche GrandCliff Double Retrograde Skyscrapers watch is fitted with a crocodile leather strap and a stainless steel folding clasp.  The timepiece is also available in a version with a black diamond bezel, whose production is limited to a series of 21 pieces.  Water resistance for both models is 100 meters.
