The Corum Admiral's Cup Competition 48 watch utilizes a precise selfwinding movement, which is based upon the excellent and time-proven Valjoux 7750 Chronograph movement.  Exclusively modified for Corum, this movement supports a subsidiary seconds indicator, and a display for day of the week and the date.  Each of these movements has undergone a 15-day examination by the Controle Officiel Suisse des Chronometres (COSC); having passed all of these exacting tests which evaluate precision under a range of temperature and position changes, each movement has earned the prestigious title of Chronometer. 

The Corum Admiral's Cup Competition 48 watch is distinguished by its extremely distinctive dial, which bears a series of nautical penants on its concave rehaut, a characteristic of the Admiral's Cup watch collection; the subsidiary seconds subdial is also decorated with a design that is reminiscent of a mariners compass.  Enhanced by bold hour indexes and broad hands, this Corum timepiece is exceptionally legible; thanks to the generous applications of luminous material, this legibility is equally impressive in low light or even total darkness.
