SIHH 2009: Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Compressor Diving GMT Lady Ceramic Watch

A compelling blend of stylish details and highly technical luxury watchmaking summarizes the Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Compressor Diving GMT Lady Ceramic--one of the many exciting watch debuts from the Grand Maison at the 2009 edition of the Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie.

Presented in a 39mm case manufactured from black ceramic, the Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Compressor Diving GMT Lady Ceramic watch features a unidirectional rotating bezel set with round brilliant diamonds along the graduated scale, a black dial with polished applied Arabic hour figures and a polished date window surround. An articulated rubber strap assures both comfort and exceptional resistance to such elements as salt water, sand, and other elements. The winding crown is protected by a compression key--an exclusive design element shared by all Master Compressor models which optimizes security against water intrusion. Water resistance of the Master Compressor Diving GMT Lady Ceramic watch is 100 meters.

Protected beneath the caseback with its sapphire crystal exhibition window is the manufacture Jaeger-LeCoultre 971D. This self-winding caliber offers indication of movement operating status, a second time zone in a 24-hour format, and a date function. Ideal for traversing time zones, the main hour hand can be advanced independently of the minutes and seconds and is synchronized with the date. Finely decorated with circular Cotes de Geneve and circular graining, the Caliber 971D has undergone 1,000 hours of testing in the Jaeger-LeCoultre workshop to certify reliable operation and precision timekeeping under diverse conditions. Balance frequency is 28,800 vibrations per hour, and power reserve is 48 hours.

In addition to the pictured model with articulated rubber strap, the Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Compressor Diving GMT Lady Ceramic watch will be available in versions with a black satin strap, or a matching ceramic bracelet.
