Badollet "Bamboo" Tourbillon Watch

Geneva-based watchmaker Badollet has produced a tourbillon watch, whose uniquely skeletonized movement evokes the appearance of Asian bamboo scaffolding.  Presented in a 43.2 x 40.2 mm square case crafted from polished 18K white gold, this Badollet watch is fitted with sapphire crystals on both sides, which permit a fascinating glimpse into the delicately rendered mechanism, whose cylindrical "tube" style bridges are crafted in ultralight aluminum-lithium. Black gold finishing on the mainspring barrel, mainplate, and train wheels provide a fascinating contrast.

The Badollet Bamboo Skeleton Tourbillon watch features a flying tourbillon which revolves on its axis once per minute, bearing the balance wheel which alternates 21,600 times each hour.  Power reserve of this movement, which Badollet has designated as the BAD5600 caliber, is 5 days.

Available in a limited series, each Badollet Bamboo Skeleton Tourbillon is fitted with a crocodile strap and an 18K white gold folding clasp.  Personalized versions of the watch accentuated with gemstones, ceramic, or other materials, will also be available.
