Swiss watch manufacturer Jaeger-LeCoultre put on a grand exhibit in Singapore, kicking off its Watchmaking Week--a series of exhibitions which will be held in various select locations around the globe to foster a deep appreciation for the history and watchmaking craftsmanship of the house.
In addition to a full range of novelties introduced at SIHH 2008 and various museum pieces, guests were able to take part in watchmaker-staffed Master Classes where they could experience assembling and decorating mechanical movements in a hands-on environment. Watchmaking Week also focuses a great deal on the background of the Jaeger-LeCoultre brand, whose timeline stretches all the way back to 1833.
