Ebel 1911 BTR Perpetual Calendar Chronograph, Limited Edition Of 200

Swiss watch brand Ebel has presented a special version of its prestigious 1911 BTR Perpetual Calendar Chronograph.  Limited to a series of 200 pieces, this complex timepiece incorporates distinctive design elements that clearly set it apart from other Ebel 1911 BTR watches with the same complications.

The new limited Ebel 1911 BTR Perpetual Calendar Chronograph watch features a 44.5mm case crafted from 18K rose gold; the striking brushed finish is set off elegantly by a polished bezel, and five polished screws that are a hallmark of the Ebel 1911 watch design.  Unique to this model is the vane-pattern openworked dial, that reveals the underlying cadrature.  In addition to the chronograph 30-minute and 12-hour counters, the various dial displays present the day of the week, the date, months, leap year, and phases of the moon.  To ensure water resistance to 100 meters, this Ebel 1911 BTR timepiece has a screw-down winding crown and well-insulated chronograph pushers; an anti-glare treated crystal in synthetic sapphire grants superb clarity for viewing the complex dial, as well as optimal protection from scratches.

The Ebel 1911 BTR Perpetual Calendar watch is animated by a complex self-winding movement, which carries the designation of Ebel Caliber 288.  Comprised of 436 individual components, Caliber 288 has a balance wheel that pulses 28,800 times per hour, enabling the chronograph to record independent time intervals with 1/8 second precision.  The automatic winding system is bi-directional in operation, and powers the timepiece to a reserve of 48 hours.  Having passed the various tests administered over 15 days by the Controle Officiel Suisse des Chronometres (COSC), each Ebel Caliber 288 movement has qualified for the title of "Chronometer", a fact proclaimed in the subtle text on the dial which lies below the moon-phase indicator.  The back features a sapphire exhibition window.  

Each limited edition Ebel 1911 BTR Perpetual Calendar watch is fitted with a strap in alligator leather, and a deployant clasp in 18K rose gold.
