Eberhard & Co. Will Sponsor 2008 Gran Premio Nuvolari Rally

Swiss watch brand Eberhard & Co. will serve as the time sponsor for the 22nd Gran Premio Nuvolari race, which will take place from September 18-21.  This classical rally pays homage to the legendary Mantuan race legend Tazio Nuvolari, and is reserved exclusively for  cars manufactured between the years of 1919 and 1969.  Covering a scenic route of slightly more than 800 kilometers, the Gran Premio Nuvolari rally takes drivers through some of the most scenic regions of Italy, including Lombardy, Tuscany, Latium, and Umbria.  

Eberhard & Co. was founded in 1887, by watchmaker Georges-Emile Eberhard.  The reputation of the company was established through the production of precision chronometers and a range of innovative chronographs which found wide use in sporting applications.  Today, Eberhard & Co. is perhaps best known for its Tazio Nuvolari chronograph collection, and the hand-wound Traversetolo watch.  In 2001, Eberhard introduced its acclaimed Chrono 4 watch, a chronograph which placed its subdials in a row across the dial.
