Swiss watch brand Bremont, whose timepieces are popular with celebrities like Orlando Bloom, Ewan McGregor, and saucy car journalist Jeremy Clarkson, has introduced a new chronograph whose design inspiration is the famed World War II-era Spitfire Mk V fighter plane.
The Bremont EP 120 Chronograph watch features a 42mm case in titanium and black DLC-treated stainless steel, a distinctively sporty dial with a "time of trip" chronograph scale, and a sub seconds indicator that is shaped as a propeller. A sapphire exhibition back reveals the COSC-certified Bremont BE-53AE caliber, which is the robust Valjoux 7750 chronograph movement modified for the implementation of a centralized GMT indicator. A notable aesthetic feature of the movement is the uniquely shaped "propeller" winding rotor, whose blades are engraved with the number of the limited edition and a peripheral winding mass that presents the Bremont insignia in red. Power reserve is approximately 48 hours.
The Bremont EP 120 Chronograph watch will be available in October 2008, and is limited to an edition of 120 pieces.
