Balmain Watches Grace Miss Switzerland Pageant

The relationship between Swiss watch brand Balmain and the Miss Switzerland pageant will continue in 2008.  Carrying on with a tradition that has stood for the past three years, the 2008 winner of the Miss Switzerland crown will receive a Balmain Elysees Chrono Lady timepiece.  The model to be awarded is in polished stainless steel on a matching bracelet, and features a mother of pearl dial and diamond-set bezel.

In previous years, Balmain timepieces have graced the wrists of Miss Switzerland winners Lauriane Gilliéron, Christa Rigozzi and Amanda Ammann.  The brand is particularly proud of its association with the pageant, and notes that this chronograph--like the modern woman herself--possesses a range of dynamic attributes that include elegance, independence, and sophistication.

Montres Pierre Balmain is a company of the Swatch Group, whose diverse portofolio of watch brands includes such prestigious names as Omega, Breguet, and Blancpain.  Founded in 1987, the Balmain brand was inspired by the Parisian haute couture creator of the same name.  In addition to the model to be featured by Miss Switzerland, the Balmain Elysees Chrono is presented in a range of variations with leather or satin straps, and with dials in several colors.  All feature battery-powered quartz movements.
