SIHH 2009 To Open In January

In 2009, the Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie (SIHH) will take place in January.  The by-invitation-only-event, which stands with Baselworld as one of the two largest watch industry exhibitions will begin on Monday, January 19th and conclude on Friday, January 23rd.  This is the first "winter edition" of the SIHH, as the event is customarily held in April.  

Brands which will display their new creations at the SIHH 2009 are:  A. Lange & S?hne, Alfred Dunhill, Audemars Piguet, Baume & Mercier, Cartier, Girard-Perregaux, IWC, Jaeger-LeCoultre, JeanRichard, Montblanc, Officine Panerai, Parmigiani Fleurier, Piaget, Ralph Lauren Watch and Jewelry Co, Roger Dubuis, Vacheron Constantin and Van Cleef & Arpels.  Also unveiling their products for the first time is the newly created Ralph Lauren Watch and Jewelry Company--a joint venture between Polo Ralph Lauren and Compagnie Financiere Richemont.  

In addition to the luxurious presentations and a range of lavish "After Dinner" invitation-only events, SIHH 2009 will offer some new elements, including a cultural area that presents the work of the Fondation de la Haute Horlogerie.  There will also be a premiere showing of "Think Time, Think Swiss Excellence" by the Federation of the Swiss Watch Industry.
