Watch auctioneer Antiquorum has announced the opening of a new office on 468 N. Camden Drive in Beverly Hills, CA. Created in response to the rapid growth of its client base on the west coast of North America, the Los Angeles office will join the auction house's existing headquarters on New York's Madison Avenue. Those seeking expert opinion on the auction value of their timepieces, or who wish to consign items for an upcoming sale are welcomed.
The Los Angeles Antiquorum office is headed by Charles Tearle. Tearle, who carries the title of Director and Watch Expert at Antiquorum, has been involved with fine watches since the age of 16, when he began his career with London-based vintage watch store Somlo Antiques. Tearle was appointed the watch specialist for Bonhams London in 2004, adding to his career there with the successful 2006 creation of a Bonhams vintage watch department in the United States. Tearle, a specialist in timepieces from the 1920's through the 1970's, is also frequent referenced expert in the television program "Antiques Roadshow". Rolex sports watches, and timepieces by Patek Philippe and Cartier are his foremost interests.
