Wyler Geneve: Official Watch Of Italian National Football

With the stroke of a pen, watch brand Wyler Geneve has renewed its historic ties to Italian football.  The Geneva-based company has agreed to manufacture the official timepiece of Italy's National Football Team, a move which recalls 1934--the year in which Wyler watches were sported by the Italian Squadra Azzura team.

Wyler Geneve's new self-winding chronograph is designed with the input of renowned Milanese design firm Zagato, and incorporates the shock resistant case that is a signature of Wyler Geneve.  Presented in stainless steel, the timepiece features a bright blue dial and rubber strap which evokes the team colors, as well a caseback that displays the commemorative engraving "Official Watch of the Italian Football Team, 1934-2009" along with the FGIC logo.  The small seconds subdial bears four gold stars that signify the World Cup victories of the Italian team, while the hand itself is painted with the colors of the Italian flag.
