Chopard Ladies Diamond Quattro Tourbillon, Limited Edition Of 25

The Chopard Ladies Diamond Quattro Tourbillon is a dazzling new creation of luxury, which unites the magisterial beauty of exquisite diamond setting with the prestige of an elite watchmaking complication.  Available in white or rose gold, the Ladies Diamond Quattro Tourbillon measures 42mm in diameter.  Nearly every square millimeter of the dial and case surfaces are covered with round brilliant or baguette cut diamonds.  56 baguette diamonds--3.61 carats in total--adorn the bezel and winding crown, and  309 pave-set round brilliants (3.08 carats t.w.) are set on the flanks, lugs, and strap attachments.  The dial is equally splendid: featuring blued sword hands, and the polished 18K gold Chopard symbol its center, it captivates the eye with an explosive combination of 103 round brilliants, 49 baguette cuts, and a single ruby. 

The Chopard Ladies Diamond Quattro Tourbillon features the in-house Chopard L.U.C 4T Caliber.  Produced at the Chopard manufactory in Fleurier, and assembled in Geneva, this manually-wound movement features a number of exclusive technical elements, including the "Quattro" system of two sets of stacked mainspring barrels which enable a 9-day power reserve.  The tourbillon cage turns on its axis once per minute, bearing the balance wheel which beats to and fro at a pace of 28,800 beats per hour.  The balance wheel utilizes the proprietary "Variner" inertia blocks, a feature that allows exceptional fine tuning of the rate.  A testament to the precision of the Variner balance is the fact that each L.U.C 4T has earned a chronometer certificate from the Controle Officiel Suisse des Chronometers (COSC)--a rare distinction among modern tourbillon movements.  The upper portion of the dial, marked with a ruby for the "low" side of the scale, presents a power reserve indicator that shows the relative status of mainspring tension.

A sapphire crystal exhibition back allows a full view of the extensive hand-finishing, which includes Cotes de Geneve on the bridges, anglage polish on the edges of parts, and polished and beveled screw and jewel settings.   Due to its compliance with the strict constructive and aesthetic norms of traditional Genevan watchmaking, the Chopard L.U.C 4T bears the Geneva Seal hallmark.  

A white or pink alligator strap completes each of these feminine Chopard tourbillons, along with an 18K gold clasp pave-set with diamonds.  Chopard will produce 25 examples of this watch in both colors of gold.  Water resistance is 30 meters.
