De Bethune DBS Diamonds

Luxury watchmaker De Bethune has presented an opulent haute joaillerie interpretation of its beautiful DBS timepiece.  Available only upon individual order, the exceptional 18-karat white gold De Bethune creation displays 104 baguette cut diamonds, 633 brilliant-cut diamonds and 44 single cut-diamonds.  The winding crown, located at 12 o'clock, is also set with diamonds.  

The pave-diamond set outer section of the dial features cabochon sapphires at the hour markers.  This dazzling presentation frames a shimmering flame-blued center that calls to mind a clear night sky; to emphasize this nocturnal effect, the De Bethune artisans drill micro-holes in the metal, which are expanded into the shape of tiny stars, and filled in with yellow gold.  The three-dimensional, spherical moonphase display--a signature of the De Bethune brand--is crafted from gold, and set with pave diamonds and sapphires. A curved aperture below the 6 o'clock hour marker is the location of a power reserve indicator, which is shown via a small blued steel hand.

Animating the De Bethune DBS is the DB2105 caliber, a manually wound movement exclusively developed by De Bethune.  In addition to the innovative moonphase and power reserve complications, the DB2105 is notable for its unique escapement; a development of Denis Flageollet, the balance wheel is crafted from a combination of platinum and titanium and features a spring with a flat terminal curve.  A triple parachute anti-shock system gives the regulating organ excellent protection, aiding in the maintenance of long term precision. Balance frequency is 28,800 alternations per hour.  Double mainspring barrels give the movement a lengthy power reserve of 6 days.

This exclusive De Bethune DBS watch is fitted with an alligator strap.  The white gold ardillon buckle is set with 130 round brilliant diamonds.
