The Fondation de la Haute Horlogerie (FHH), a Swiss organization devoted to the preservation of watchmaking, is hosting a forum for its partner brands today. Intended exclusively for Chief Executives of these companies, the event focuses on issues concerning the "Changing Business of Time", offering an opportunity for idea exchange and a round-table for healthy debate.
Franco Cologni, Chairman of the FHH, stated: "We can no longer afford not to reflect on the future of the luxury industry in general and of watchmaking in particular. The world map of wealth creation is being transformed, affluent populations are looking to new values, and the global economy is struggling. We are organizing this event with the aim of defining the new contours of luxury in a world that is now subject to the law of change."
Among the FHH partner brand CEO's participating in "The Changing Business of Time" forum are Richard Mille, TAG Heuer's Jean-Christophe Babin, Jerome Lambert of Jaeger-LeCoultre, Juan Carlos Torres of Vacheron Constantin, and Hublot's dynamic Jean-Claude Biver. Also joining the discussions are Francois Cureil, Chairman of Christie's Europe, Ulrich Bez, CEO of Aston Martin, and Thierry Lombard, the managing partner of private bank Lombard Odier Darier Hentsch & Cie. Sociologist Gilles Lipovetsky will present his views on various matters related to luxury and luxury goods consumption.
