Limited Edition Piaget Watches Commemorate 30th Anniversary Of Piaget Polo

To celebrate the 30th anniversary of its legendary Polo watch, Piaget will introduce four new additions to this famous collection of luxury timepieces in 2009.  First debuted in 1979, the Piaget Polo watch became one of the most coveted objects of its day, eagerly sought after by stars and other prominent members of society.

The most masculine of the new introductions is the new Piaget Polo Large model, Ref. G0A34041, which showcases an 18-karat gold case that presents a sophisticated combination of pink and white gold.  The two-tone theme is carried on by the dial that is silvered and features applied pink gold hour markers.  Animating this model is Piaget's self-winding 800P Caliber, which has a date display and sweep seconds function.  A screw-balance beats at 21,600 semi-oscillations per hour, and reserve of the barrel is 72 hours.  Limited to a numbered edition of 300, this Piaget Polo Large Model watch is completed by an alligator leather strap and a pink gold folding clasp.

Ladies will enjoy a similarly striking ensemble.  The Piaget Polo Small watch, Ref. G0A34042, displays the same striking case design that masterfully unites pink and white gold. Here, the white gold bezel displays the opulent detail of 26 brilliant-cut diamonds that amount to just over half a carat.  The brown alligator leather strap is equipped with a pink and white gold folding clasp.  Piaget's 690P quartz caliber ensures exceptional timekeeping precision.  This distinguished model is also limited to an individually numbered edition of 300.  

The final two models are perhaps most closely allied with the original design of the Piaget Polo watch, and display white gold cases and integral gold bracelets.  The larger version (Ref. G0A34043) utilizes Piaget's self-winding 534P movement, and displays 142 round brilliants on the bracelet, 6 round brilliants on the bezel, and 126 additional brilliants on the dial.  The smaller Polo watch, Ref G0A34044, showcases 130 brilliant cuts on its bracelet, 82 brilliants on the dial, and 6 brilliant cuts on the bezel. The battery-powered Piaget 690P movement animates this model.  Both of these splendid diamond-set Polo timepieces are restricted to editions of 150.  Each carries an individual number.
