The Bvlgari Rettangolo watch collection has a very unique look. If you wear this watch there is no chance that it will be mistaken for a Rolex. The Rettangolo features a large retangular case shape. This style of case is often called a Tank style, which was made famous by Cartier. One of the first features you notice about the Rettangolo is the style and size of the hour markers on the dial. There are only two numbers displayed on the dial, three o’clock, and nine o’clock and both numbers run the length of the side of the case. This elongated design gives the Rettangolo a distinctly 1920’s retro look.
The Case shape and size makes this watch stand out in a crowd. Bvlgari wisely chose to manufacture this timepiece it a small (39mm), medium (45mm) and large (49mm) case size. You have the option of choosing between several movements and complications. The entry level Rettangolo features an automatic movement with hour and minute hands. This is a very clean and elegant version. The chronograph version features the chrono pushers on the right side of the case, second, minute and hour sub dials for the chrono and a date window. While this dial is busier than the automatic because it is in a larger case size it works.
Bvlgari has created several different case and bezel combinations. The Chrono version of the Rettangolo is available in white gold, yellow gold and steel. The steel version is available with either a crocodile strap (very handsome in black), or a steel bracelet. If you want a sportier look try the steel case with the steel and rubber bracelet. The smaller ladies version comes with either a diamond bezel, diamond bezel and dial or diamond bezel dial and bracelet. Bvlgari also offers several strap colors.
