Pre-Baselworld 2009: Omega Planet Ocean "Jewellery" Co-Axial Chronometer and Chronograph Watches

The Omega Planet Ocean Chronograph and Planet Ocean Chronometer watches will both be available with diamonds in 2009, disproving the notion that the most capable diving instruments cannot be vehicles for creations of opulence and uncompromising luxury.  Functionally, these sybaritic Omega dive timepieces feature the same uncompromising technical specifications as their stablemates, including 600-meter water resistance, a screwed helium-release valve, and chronometer-certified automatic movements which utilize the celebrated Co-Axial Escapement. 

The Omega Planet Ocean Jewellery Co-Axial Chronometer will be offered in both 42mm and 45.5mm versions.  The rotating bezel which customarily displays the graduated scale for the monitoring of dive times, is replaced by a glittering ring of 45 round brilliant diamonds, for 1.73 carats in total weight.  The Seamaster Jewellery Co-Axial Chronograph measures 45.5mm in diameter, and displays 2.65 carats of round brilliant diamonds on its rotating bezel.  Both chronometer and chronograph feature the classic black Planet Ocean dial, which displays bold luminous hour markers and broad triangle-tipped hands that optimize legibility in any lighting condition.
