The Blancpain Leman Ultra-slim Grand Date watch is an elegant combination of classical form and contemporary flair; the result is a watch whose versatility is equalled only by its exquisite craftsmanship. This new Leman Grand Date watch takes the well-respected theme of the Blancpain Leman Ultra-slim watch collection and offers a new variation that is distinguished by both its appearance and its technique. The round, elegant case has been enlarged to 40mm, from the previous 38mm size. The selfwinding 6950 Calibre, based upon the well-established Frederic Piguet 1151 Calibre, incorporates a new double disc large date mechanism developed by Blancpain, which features instantaneous switching at midnight. Comprising 285 hand finished parts within the low height of 4.75mm, the Calibre 6950 has a power reserve of 70 hours, and its balance wheel beats at a frequency of 21,600 vibrations per hour.

Each component within the Blancpain Leman Ultra-slim Grand Date watch has been meticulously hand finished; visible through the exhibition back, one can admire the rhodium-plated 21-carat gold rotor, completed with the Blancpain signature, and also the bridges--which gleam with Cotes de Geneve and anglage finishing. The Blancpain Leman Ultra-slim Grand Date watch has a finely detailed dial with a striking dual plane appearance; it is completed with skeletonized gold hands and faceted hour markers.
