Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore Watches

The Audemars Piguet  Royal Oak Offshore is the larger cousin of the famous Royal Oak watch collection. The Royal Oak was first developed for Audemars Piguet in the 1970's by the famous timepiece designer Gerald Genta. The AP Offshore, like its smaller cousin the Royal Oak has a signature octagonal shaped case. This case has a bezel that is held in by eight screws.

The Royal Oak Offshore  is bigger and bolder than the Royal Oak. AP took the design of the Royal Oak and made it more aggressive, sportier and bolder. The Offshore models are also available in a steel or 18 carat yellow gold. What is most unique about the Offshore models is the use of rubber in the bezel, crown and pushers. The Royal Oak Offshore comes in two sizes, a 42MM for men, and a 37MM for women.

Audemars only manufactures the Royal Oak Offshore with a chronograph. All the chrono pushers are rubber. This helps give the Offshore its unique look. The Offshore comes in several versions. The base level model includes a chronograph with a date window indicator. There are several different dial color, bezel, case metal combinations that make the Royal Oak Offshore a truly unique look. AP uses a signature waffle design on all the Offshore dials. This waffle design in combination with contrasting dial and sub dial colors makes the Offshore stand out in a crowd.

AP has created some highly collectable limited edition models for the Royal Oak Offshore. AP created a special watch for Arnold Schwarzenegger of several of his famous movies including End of Days and T3. The Audemars Piguet Royal Oak T3 sold out immediately, and is now a highly collectible watch. AP created another highly collectible timepiece with the AP Juan Pablo Montoya watch. The Montoya was made in honor of the famous F1 driver.
