In commemoration of its relationship with oceanic exploration, Blancpain reveals a stunning new Fifty Fathoms watch--the Ocean Blue. Fifty examples of this white gold Blancpain dive timepiece will be produced, each bearing an engraved individual number.

The Blancpain Fifty Fathoms Ocean Blue watch is immediately distinguished by a dial, graduated rotating bezel, and leather-lined canvas strap in rich cobalt blue. Symbolic of ocean water, the blue color scheme also highlights the lustrous polish of the 18-karat white gold case, which features integral guards to protect the screw-down winding crown. In the manner of all true dive timepieces, the rotating bezel with its knurled edge rotates only in the counter-clockwise direction; the graduated scale--like the hour markers and hands--is coated in Superluminova material for brilliant clarity in conditions where light is poor or nonexistent.

A sapphire crystal window in the screw-down back of the Blancpain Fifty Fathoms Ocean Blue watch reveals the manufacture Blancpain 1315 caliber. The self-winding 1315 movement presents haute horlogerie craftsmanship in combination with a construction prioritized for robustness. Power reserve is 5 days. The gold central rotor is shaped like a dive mask, a detail that is unique to this special edition.
