Pre-Basel 2008: Hermes Clipper H1 Big Date Watch

Hermes will debut a new addition to their elegantly sport Clipper watch collection.  The Hermes Clipper H1 watch features a 43.50mm stainless steel case which has unusually designed screw-down case lugs.

The watch features an engraved unidirectional rotating bezel, a screw-down crown, and treated sapphire crystals on both front and back.  Water resistance has been rated at 100 meters.  Hermes has fitted the watch with an anthracite or white dial which bears sporty orange accents, and a distinctive "H" decorative pattern; Superluminova application on the hands and Arabic markers ensure optimal legibility in low light conditions.  Straps are made from barenia calfskin or alligator, and are joined to a stainless steel folding clasp.

The Hermes Clipper H1 Big Date watch is animated by a 28-jewel self-winding movement produced by the Vaucher Manufacture, of which Hermes has partial ownership.  Twin mainpring barrels allows for a 50-hour power reserve, and the large date mechanism has a rapid adjust feature.
