Basel 2008: Breitling Avenger Seawolf Chrono Watch

The Brietling Avenger Seawolf Chrono watch embodies the essence of Breitling's slogan "Instruments for Professionals".  Representing the ultimate diver's chronograph, this Breitling watch incorporates unique technology which enables its chronograph functions to be operated underwater all the way down to 1000 meters.  

This unprecedented capability is achieved thanks to a magnetic pushpiece principle; the sequence is activated through the metal of the case, rather than a direct connection between the pushpiece and movement--a potential area where water can enter under great pressure.

The Breitling Avenger Seawolf Chrono is presented in a 44mm stainless steel case, which is equipped with a graduated, unidirectional bezel and a curved sapphire crystal treated on both sides with an anti-reflective coating.  Available in several colors, the dial is clearly organized with its chronograph displays on three counters, and the date display in a small window; to enhance their visibility, as well as produce an attractive effect, the chronograph subdials showcase a grid pattern that takes on a changing appearance in varied light conditions.

To ensure ultimate timekeeping performance, Breitling has fitted the Avenger Seawolf Chrono watch with a highly advanced quartz movement, the Caliber 73.  Its chronograph functions can time intervals of up to 12 hours with with a separate counter that shows 1/10th second splits; elapsed chronograph minutes are shown via secondary central hand.  It can also time the regatta countdown, thanks to the graduation found on the dial rehaut.  The chronometer-certified SuperQuartz movement offers accuracy ten times greater than conventional quartz movements.  

The Breitling Avenger Seawolf Chrono watch is available with a barenia leather strap, or the Breitling "Diver Pro" rubber strap.  Additionally, this model can also be obtained on the rugged Professional bracelet, whose brushed finish complements the sober design of the massive case.
