Franck Muller Group Sees Success At 11th WPHH

The World Presentation of Haute Horlogerie (WPHH) has come and gone for 2008, leaving in its wake an impressive record of attendance in visitors and press over the previous year, amounting to over 15 percent. Over the course of 7 days, over 6,800 visitors and 600 journalists from around the world were welcomed to Watchland--the picturesque headquarters of the Franck Muller Group, and its nine brands. The brands in the group are: Franck Muller Genève, Pierre Kunz, Rodolphe, ECW, Barthelay, Martin Braun, Pierre Michel Golay, Christian Huygens, and Backes & Strauss.

Business for the group across its range has been impressive. Franck Muller sales have increased by double digits, as have the sales of the Rodolphe brand. Pierre Michel Golay and Christian Huygens, recent additions to the Franck Muller Group, were both very well received in their first WPHH participation. Pierre Kunz's sales have also grown, with ECW and Barthelay taking active steps to enhance their development.

A highlight of the event was an April 9th gala dinner attended by more than 1,400 VIP guests, including actor Stephen Baldwin, football goalkeeper Pascal Zuberbuhler, and Dr. Christian Luscher of the Geneva University Hospital. A performance by famed salsero Yuri Buenaventura kept guests entertained through the course of the grand evening.
