RGM Model 300/Series 1 Professional Diver Watch

American luxury watchmaking firm RGM has announced that its Professional Diver Model 300/Series 1 timepiece is now ready for delivery. Limited to a series of just 100 pieces for 2008, this RGM sports watch will fulfill the demanding criteria for a true diving instrument, namely legibility, unrelenting reliability, and uncompromising resistance to water penetration.

The RGM Model 300 Professional Diver watch features a 43.2mm stainless steel case which has a screw-down winding crown, and a screw-locked caseback. These two elements achieve an ideal hermetic seal, and when combined with the extremely strong 5mm-thick sapphire crystal, allow the timepiece to safely descend all the way to a depth of 2,500 feet. The black dial, available in either a matte or glossy scheme according to customer preference, shows off bold luminous hour markers and hands that enable instantaneous comprehension in demanding circumstances. A counter-clockwise rotating bezel with 240 ratcheted clicks enables the safe calculation of diving times; bold knurling on the bezel edge permits a certain grasp when hands are slippery or sheathed in dive gloves.

RGM has equipped this uncompromising sports watch with an ETA 2892-A2 automatic movement, a self-winding mechanism whose credentials assure excellent performance and reliability. RGM employs the highest quality version of this proven ETA caliber, and enriches its bridges and plates with Cotes de Geneve and perlage finishing. Withdrawing the crown enables stopping of the seconds for precise setting, and the date display also has a position where rapid adjustments can be made.

The RGM Model 300/Series 1 Professional Diver watch is available on either a synthetic dive strap with a stainless steel buckle, or a matching stainless steel bracelet with an integral diver's extension piece. The caseback is decorated with an elaborate engraving of a ship being beset by a sea serpent.
