Comprising over 400 watches from across several centuries, the sale will feature a number of important wristwatches, including some coveted references from Rolex and Patek Philippe. Highlights for Rolex include an extremely rare Ref. 16658 "Comex" Sea-Dweller, owned by Laurent Leynaud, which includes a Comex/Pro regulator, a Comex diver's knife, and a Comex/Pro decompression table; pre-sale estimates for this watch stand at CHF150,000 to 200,000. Also represented is a Ref. 6239 Paul Newman Cosmograph Daytona, which is estimated at CHF40,000 to 60,000.
Patek Philippe watches expected to perform extremely well include a Ref. 5004 Perpetual Calendar with Split-Seconds Chronograph in white gold, that is expected to fetch CHF220,000 to 280,000, and an 1868 pocket watch with dual-time displays and a unique perpetual calendar complication, once sold to Baron Albert Salomon von Rothschild, estimated at CHF80,000 to 120,000.
In addition to these highlights, the sale will also offer rarities from Vacheron Constantin, Audemars Piguet, IWC, Panerai, and Jaeger-LeCoultre, as well as antique pocket watches from such horological masters as Piguet & Meylan.
The auction will take place at the Hong Kong Club Building, with previews being held in Tokyo on May 29-30, Shanghai on June 1-2, and Hong Kong on June 5-6. For additional details about the watches and the events, please click here.
