A lepine-style pocket watch will join the collection of Swiss luxury watchmaker Jaquet Droz for 2009.  To be produced in a "Numerus Clausus" limited edition of 88 examples, the Jaquet Droz Montre a Poche Hommage Geneve 1784 watch features an 18-karat red gold case with a hinged bow.  The ivory enamel dial, crafted in the painstaking "grand feu" method, shares the same design as the company's iconic Grande Seconde wristwatch.  

The Jaquet Droz Montre a Poche Hommage Geneve 1784 is animated by a manually wound movement with a 40-hour power reserve.  A sapphire crystal exhibition window in the red gold caseback--which bears the engraved brand signature and the individual number of the watch--reveals bridges with chamfered edges and Cotes de Geneve patterns.  

To ensure that the timepiece can be worn at all times by its proud owner, Jaquet Droz will supply each of the 88 Montre a Poche Hommage Geneve 1784 watches with a matching red gold chain.
