Frederic Piguet Obtains Watch Component Specialist Francois Golay SA

Movement manufacturer Frédéric Piguet, a division of the Swatch Group, has obtained watch component specialist Fran?ois Golay SA in Le Brassus.  Frédéric Piguet has had a 35% stake in Fran?ois Golay for some time, and has acquired the remaining 65% of shares from the company owners, Jean-Marc Berney and Yves Berney.

The more than 100 employees of Fran?ois Golay SA will remain on without any changes, and Mr. Jean-Marc Berney will serve as a managing director, allowing the operational infrastructure to remain intact.

Fran?ois Golay SA is a specialist in the creation of high-quality wheels and other components of watch mechanisms.  The many prestigious clients of the firm have included various Swatch Group companies, including Montres Breguet, Blancpain, and Frédéric Piguet, producer and supplier of a range of haute horlogerie calibers for brands both within and outside the Swatch Group.

Going forward, the Swatch Group and Frédéric Piguet will place a high priority on further developing the exceptional technical acumen of Fran?ois Golay SA.
