Porsche Design Worldtimer Watch Wins Red Dot Design Award

At 2008's "Red Dot Design Award" Competition in Essen, Germany, Porsche Design walked away with honors for a number of their products, including their P'6750 Worldtimer watch.  

Presented in a matte or black-finished titanium case, the Porsche Design Worldtimer watch is fitted with a decorated rubber strap, a flat anti-reflective sapphire crystal, and two distinctively knurled crowns.  Its self-winding movement incorporates a dual-timezone display with reference world cities; a special module, developed for Porsche Design by Eterna, enables the display city and hour to be adjusted instantaneously without affecting the accuracy of the time display.  The flat caseback of the watch is engraved with a circular reference table, which indicates twenty-four reference cities and their corresponding abbreviations.  Water resistance is rated at 100 meters.

Since its inception in 1972, Porsche Design Studio has been the recipient of numerous design awards, both within Austria, and internationally.  In addition to watches, the company has also lent their creative energies to many other items, including luggage, eye-wear, electronics, various fashion accessories, and objects for the home.
