Swiss watch manufacturer Girard-Perregaux will be donating a diamond-set variation of their acclaimed Cat's Eye Bi-Retro watch to assist the humanitarian efforts of the American Nicaraguan Foundation. The timepiece--valued at approximately USD $47,850--will be donated for a raffle which will take place on the evening of ANF's 2008 Annual Gala. The proceeds generated from the raffle will go directly to programs which include reducing school delinquency for children, and improving the nutrition of the neediest Nicaraguan citizens.
The Girard-Perregaux Cat's Eye watch is one of the most acclaimed luxury timepiece designs for women. Among its many accolades include the Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Geneve, and the Watch of the Year Award from the Federation of the Swiss Watch Industry.
The Cat's Eye watch to be offered in the ANF raffle features a 35.25mm X 30.25mm 18K white gold case which is fully pave set with round brilliant diamonds, and a black mother of pearl dial with diamond-set numerals. The retrograde seconds and day of the week displays are complimented by a date function and a moonphase indicator. A sapphire crystal exhibition window in the caseback reveals the finely decorated manufacture Girard-Perregaux GP 033RO automatic movement, which has a 46-hour power reserve. The timepiece is completed by a satin strap and a white gold deployant clasp set with round brilliant diamonds.
