RGM Watch Company To Hold September Event At NAWCC Watch And Clock Museum

To celebrate the debut of its in-house Caliber 801 movement, American luxury watch manufacturer RGM will hold a special event on September 20, 2008 at the National Watch and Clock Museum in Columbia, Pennsylvania.  While enjoying refreshments, guests will be able to view a short film "Inside the Production of Caliber 801", which covers the conceptualization and production steps of the new movement, which is named after the street address of the RGM Watch Company in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.  In addition to the feature presentation on the Caliber 801 movement, RGM will have on hand a variety of timepieces from its current collection, as well as a number of hand-crafted guilloche dials.  

An added highlight of the RGM watch event is the opportunity to experience the National Watch and Clock museum, which with over 12,000 exhibits related to the science and art of watchmaking carries the distinction of being the most comprehensive horological collection in North America.  The museum was first opened to the public in 1977, and has been significantly expanded several times over the decades, most recently in 1999.
