Eterna Madison Watch Introduced In Stainless Steel

Swiss watch brand Eterna has presented an unlimited production stainless steel version of its Madison Three-Hands watch.  This Eterna timepiece is notable not only for its elegant rectangular design, but also its use of a shaped manual-winding movement which is designed and manufactured by Eterna.  This movement, designated as the Eterna 3501, is based upon the Caliber 3500 movement, which debuted in a limited edition 18K gold Madison timepiece first shown in 2007.

Form movements--those which are shaped to fit non-round cases--are a rarity in the world of mechanical timepieces.  By presenting the Caliber 3500, and now the closely related 3501, Eterna has demonstrated a real commitment to the values of elite watchmaking.  Among the unique features which characterize the Eterna 3500 and 3501 calibers are a highly unusual bridge that supports the balance wheel.  These movements feature 19-jewels, and have a balance frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour.  Power reserve is 48 hours.

The Eterna Madison Three-Hands watch will be produced with several dial variants, including silver and black.  Dials are fitted with dauphine hands and faceted triangular hour markers, and have a central grid-pattern decorative motif.  Each timepiece is fitted with an alligator strap, and sapphire crystals.  Eterna has specified a 50 meter water resistance rating.
