Ernst Benz Watches Commemorate Beijing, City Of The 2008 Olympic Games

Swiss watch brand Ernst Benz has paid tribute to the city of Beijing with the introduction of a Limited Edition Chronoscope timepiece, whose styling details and emphasis of the numeral 8 highlights Chinese culture and numerology, as well as the 2008 Summer Olympic Games.  

Ernst Benz will introduce 88 pieces each of the Beijing 2008 Limited Edition Chronoscope, in two dial variations-- a brilliant red, and black.  Both dials feature hour markers in Chinese characters, with the 8 o'clock marker depicting the number "08"--an ancient symbol of prosperity and good fortune in China.  The brushed stainless steel watch case measures 47mm in diameter, and houses a self-winding Valjoux 7750 movement with a chronograph complication and a day and date display. Versions whose cases are coated with black PVD are also available, limited to a series of 8 pieces each in both dial colors.  Each Beijing 2008 Limited Edition Chronoscope watch is presented in a special box with a Chinese decorative theme.
