Tudor Lady Chrono Watch: A Sporty Automatic Chronograph With Diamonds

Swiss watch brand Tudor has introduced a sporty new chronograph timepiece for women.  The Tudor Lady Chrono is presented in a 41mm polished stainless steel case which features seven round brilliant diamonds set on each lug, a graduated tachymeter bezel with a row of 73 diamonds, and a silver dial with a concentric circle motif on its perimeter.  A durable white rubber strap signed with the Tudor brand joins the timepiece securely to its owners wrist, and the crystal is in scratch-resistant sapphire.  Water resistance is assured to a depth of 150 meters, thanks to the screw-locked caseback and triply-insulated Triplock crown.

Ticking inside the Tudor Lady Chrono is a self-winding ETA movement with a 46-hour power reserve.  Because the balance wheel beats at 28,000 alternation per hour, the chronograph can time independent intervals with 1/8 second precision.  In addition to the chronograph with its 12-hour and 30-minute totalizers, the movement supports a small seconds display and a rapidly adjustable calendar.  

The Tudor watch brand was conceived by Rolex founder Hans Wilsdorf in the 1940's.  Developing alongside its higher-priced brother company through the decades, Tudor watches have come to gradually possess their own unique aesthetic and conceptual identity.  Tudor, unlike Rolex, does not employ exclusive manufacture movements; rather, Tudor watches house specially constructed ETA calibers.   Nonetheless, Tudor watches continue to employ many notable Rolex innovations, including the famous water-resistant Oyster case and the Twinlock and Triplock screw-down winding crowns.
