For the second consecutive year, the Salón Internacional de Alta Relojería is presenting watch collectors and connoisseurs with a rare opportunity to experience the finest and most prestigious luxury timepieces. Much like celebrated Swiss fairs such as Baselworld and SIHH, this North American exhibit, held at the Hotel Four Seasons in Mexico City, showcases a wide range of the most celebrated brands, and offers a number of unique watchmaking exhibitions and exceptional product debuts. Guests will also be able to attend lectures presented by notable industry figures and some of the world's most celebrated horological talents. The exhibition began on Tuesday, September 23rd, and will continue through 8:00 PM on Thursday evening.
The watch brands participating in the Salón Internacional de Alta Relojería 2008 are: A. Lange & Sohne, Audemars Piguet, Blancpain, Breguet, Cartier, Concord, Daniel Roth, de Grisogono, F.P. Journe, Franc Vila, Gerald Genta, Glashutte Original, Harry Winston, IWC, Jaeger-LeCoultre, Jaquet Droz, Montblanc, Omega, Porsche Design, Roger Dubuis, Rolex, TAG Heuer, and Tudor.
Guest speakers for the 3-day event are extremely diverse, ranging from brilliant watchmakers Carole Forestier-Kasapi, Giulio Papi, and Vincent Calabrese, to industry notables such as Jaeger-LeCoultre CEO Jerome Lambert, and Stefano Macaluso of Girard-Perregaux. A number of prestigious introductions for the 2008 year will be explored in great detail, among them the de Grisogono Meccanico DG watch, Cartier's Ballon Bleu de Cartier Tourbillon, and the Jaeger-LeCoultre Extreme LAB.
