Jaermann & Stubi Seve Ballesteros Golf Watch, Limited Edition Of 50

Swiss watch brand Jaermann & Stubi, whose specialty is a unique series of watches with a mechanical golf counter complication, has introduced a limited edition model which pays tribute to golfer Severiano Ballesteros in a most unique way.  Taking the golf clubs, sand wedge and pitching wedge which Ballesteros used in his 1991 victory at the Chunichi Crowns Open in 1991, Jaerman & Stubi melted these down and created a specially formulated alloy which is sufficient to form the cases of 50 limited edition timepieces.  To obtain the metallurgical blend which would be appropriate for the creation of a watch case, Jaerman & Stubi sought the assistance of RWTH Aachen University and Dr. Bergfeld Schmiedetechnik GmbH in Solingen, Germany.

As a nod to Mr. Ballesteros' favorite color, the Jaermann & Stubi Seve Ballesteros Golf Watch features a brilliant blue dial and bezel, as well as matching packaging.  The individual number is engraved on the caseback, along with the specific club which was employed to create the watch case.  A certificate signed by Seve Ballesteros accompanies each watch.  These timepieces will be available from a select group of Swiss retailers in November, and carry a price of 21,600 Swiss Francs.
