Geneva-based watch brand Roger Dubuis received a prize for its KingSquare Tourbillon watch at the Salon Internacional Alta Relojeria, which took place in Mexico City through September 23-25, 2008. Eight categories of timepieces were awarded, with Roger Dubuis claiming the "Ladies Watch of the Year" prize.
The Roger Dubuis KingSquare watch collection, unveiled at the 2008 Baselworld exhibition, is characterized by its distinctively curved square case and faceted sapphire crystal. The version which captured the "Ladies Watch of the Year" award is a chic 18K white gold model with a white alligator strap, and diamond-set case and dial. A self-winding Roger Dubuis tourbillon movement stamped with the prestigious Geneva Seal hallmark animates the watch, and is visible in full through the sapphire crystal caseback.
Following in the Roger Dubuis tradition of producing timepieces in limited series, the King Square Tourbillon will be offered in an edition of 28 pieces. Each timepiece is engraved with its individual number.
