Breitling, the Swiss watch brand famous for its ties to aviation, has introduced a dynamic variation of its imposing Super Avenger chronograph.  The Breitling Super Avenger Blacksteel Chronograph features a 48mm stainless steel case whose stealthy black surface is the result of a highly durable carbon nitride treatment.  Providing an interesting contrast is the dial, whose satin black surface and subdials with vertically striated motifs showcase brilliant red accents on the hands, 30-minute chronograph counter, and the tachymeter rehaut.  A unidirectional rotating bezel with a luminous dot assures security and safety in monitoring critical diving intervals.  

The Breitling Super Avenger Blacksteel Chronograph is uncompromising in its sporty qualifications.  Equipped with a domed sapphire crystal, large screw-down crown and massive screw-locked caseback, the watch can safely endure the pressures found 300 meters below the ocean's surface.  Ticking inside is the self-winding Breitling Caliber 13 movement, which is based upon the tried and tested Valjoux 7750 chronograph caliber; a truly ideal motor for this timepiece, the Breitling Caliber 13 offers a date display and subsidiary seconds, in addition to the chronograph complication.  A dial inscription attests to the fact that the Super Avenger's movement has undergone and passed the precision tests of the Controle Officiel Suisse des Chronometres (COSC).  Balance wheel frequency is 28,800 beats per hour, and power reserve is 42 hours.  

The Breitling Super Avenger Blacksteel Chronograph is limited to an edition of 3,000 pieces.  Each timepiece is fitted with a rubber strap and a tang buckle with black carbon nitride treatment.
