Harry Winston Ocean Dual Time Watch: The First In-House Complication Module For Harry Winston

With the introduction of the complex and innovative Ocean Dual Time watch, Harry Winston can claim yet another impressive horological achievement.  This timepiece is the first offered by the prestigious house which features a complication module entirely developed and constructed at the brand's Geneva production center.  

The Harry Winston Ocean Dual Time watch features a 44mm 18K rose gold case whose complex design and intricate finishing follows that of other Ocean timepieces introduced by the brand; among other details, the bezel is satin-finished, and the crown guards evoke the archways of Harry Winston boutiques.  The exceptionally complex dial presents multiple levels and finishing textures--all of which highlights the technical appeal of the dual timezone displays complete with independent day/night indicators, as well as the striking large date complication and rotating "shuriken" sub seconds display.   Adjustments to the second time zone are easily made via the minute repeater-style slide piece on the left side of the case.  

A 35-jewel automatic movement animates the Ocean Dual Time watch; balance wheel frequency is 28,800 beats per hour, and power reserve is 45 hours.  A sapphire exhibition window allows the owner to admire the traditional decorative flourishes, which include circular graining on the mainplate, and Cotes de Geneve patterns on the bridges.  A fine alligator strap and an ardillon buckle in 18K rose gold completes the timepiece.  

In recognition of its technical and aesthetic merits, a distinguished Singapore watch jury recently awarded the Harry Winston Ocean Dual Time a "Best Timepiece of the Year" prize in the men's watch category.
