Chopard L.U.C Tech Strike One Watch, Limited Edition Of 100 Pieces

The L.U.C Tech Strike One is an exciting addition to Chopard's prestigious collection of manufacture timepieces.  Featuring the "en passant" hour strike complication which was first introduced in the original Chopard L.U.C Strike One watch, this limited production Tech variant presents an aesthetic identity which is decidedly contemporary, as well as an invitation to admire the intricate workmanship of the mechanism.  

The Chopard L.U.C Tech Strike One is presented in a 40.5mm case; the choice of titanium compliments the contemporary styling of the intricate dial, and provides optimum amplification for the chime.  An open-worked guilloche dial allows a generous view of the finely finished underdial mechanism, particularly the intricate striking works and hammer, which taps gently against the coiled gongs for a single strike at the turn of each hour.  

The movement inside the Chopard L.U.C Tech Strike One is the Caliber 96 SHT, which features the distinctive Chopard 22K gold microrotor, and the L.U.C "Twin" system of two stacked mainspring barrels that assure a power reserve of 65 hours.  Equipped with a balance that alternates at a pace of 28,800 beats per hour, the 96 SHT is a precise performer, which has earned a chronometer certificate from the Controle Officiel Suisse des Chronometres (COSC).  In addition to the hour-striking complication which can be turned on or off via the pushpiece at 10 o'clock, the watch also presents a date display and a rotating small seconds disc.  The elaborate finishing of this movement includes circular graining on the mainplate and bridges with Cotes de Geneve and chamfered edges.  A sapphire crystal exhibition window in the caseback grants a full view of these aesthetic refinements.

Chopard will produce 100 examples of the L.U.C Tech Strike One.  Each timepiece is fitted with a hand-sewn strap in alligator leather, and a steel buckle engraved with the Chopard signature.
