2008 Watch Fair To Take Place At Govberg Jewelers

Inspired by famous Swiss watch fairs such as Baselworld and Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie (SIHH), Govberg Jewelers in Philadelphia, PA will host a major 3-day exhibit this week which presents many of the world's prestigious watch brands and their most exclusive creations.  

Regarding the impetus behind the 2008 Watch Fair, Danny Govberg, owner and president of Govberg Jewelers said, "For years, other countries have been showcasing a large number of brands at fairs.  Switzerland has international fairs in both Basel and Geneva, and I felt that it was important for the United States to have its own."

The seventeen brands to be featured at Govberg's exhibit are: A. Lange & Sohne, Audemars Piguet, Bell & Ross, Blancpain, Breitling, Chopard, Concord, Franck Muller, Girard-Perregaux, Glashutte Original, Harry Winston, IWC, Jaeger-LeCoultre, Parmigiani, Piaget, Ulysse Nardin and Vacheron Constantin.  The attendance of US brand presidents is notable, as is a range of in-depth seminars from leading experts in the horological field.  Collectors and timepiece connoisseurs will also enjoy the opportunity to share their enthusiasm for the hobby at a series of elegant dinners held throughout Philadelphia.
