Corum Admiral's Cup Black Hull 48 Watch

Swiss watch brand Corum has introduced a stealthy new addition to its famed Admiral's Cup collection of sports timepieces.  The Corum Admiral's Cup Black Hull 48 watch features a 48mm case whose angular profile and 12-sided bezel profile shares the yacht-inspired design of other models in this line.  

Unique to the Admiral's Cup Black Hull 48 is a case crafted from black PVD-coated titanium, and a matching black dial with a slightly rough texture.  Fitted with equally stealthy hands whose customary luminous strips are filled in with black Superluminova, this dial presents another unusual detail: the customarily colorful nautical pennants are also rendered in businesslike shades, completing the sober appearance of this watch.  The faceted crystal has been treated with an anti-reflective coating to minimize glare and increase legibility.  

The Corum Admiral's Cup Black Hull 48 is animated by a self-winding mechanical movement whose chronograph complication offers both a 12-hour and 30-minute totalizer.  Balance wheel frequency is 28,800 beats per hour, a technical nuance which allows the chronograph to record independent time intervals to a precision of 1/8th second.  A rapidly adjustable date display is a highly practical additional feature.

Fitted with a black rubber strap and a matching Corum tang buckle, the Admiral's Cup Black Hull 48 watch is well equipped for active water sports usage.  Water resistance of this model is rated for 300 meters.
