F.P. Journe will not hold its annual watchmaking salon in Geneva for 2009. A statement issued by the luxury watchmaker stated that "the company has decided not to launch any new watch creation." According to Francois-Paul Journe, the decision is based upon a desire to focus on the production of the company's complicated horological debuts from 2007 and 2008--the Centrigraphe Souveraine and Repetition Minutes Souveraine.
F.P. Journe has emphasized that the decision will not affect the access of clients and the press to the firm's Geneva manufacturing facility in 2009
