Maitres du Temps Announces Chapter One Watch In White Gold With Black Dial

When the ultra-exclusive watchmaking firm of Maitres du Temps debuted its extraordinary Chapter One watch at Baselworld 2008, the world of haute horlogerie sat up and took notice: for the first time, the creative and technical mastery of three legendary horological masters---Peter Speake-Marin, Christophe Claret, and Roger Dubuis--were unified to present a timepiece of uncommon craftsmanship, artistry, and complexity.  As a response to the warm reception given the original rose gold model, Maitres du Temps announces an exclusive white gold edition of this complex masterpiece, limited to an edition of just eleven pieces.  

The white gold Maitres du Temps Chapter One watch shares the same design and combination of complications as its rose gold sibling.  The intricate cambered case--comprised of no fewer than 104 individual components--measures 62.60 mm x 45.90 mm and showcases a complex interplay between polished and satin finishes.  The base of the black dial with printed Roman numerals is made from 18-karat gold;an engine-turned guilloche pattern of radiating fine lines draws the eye to the sectors for the retrograde indicators for the second time zone and the date, as well as the chronograph 60-minute counter at 12 o'clock.  The black polished steel tourbillon bridge draws the eye into the aperture at 6 o'clock, where the tourbillon escapement completes its continuous revolutions. Crafted from anodized aluminum, the signature roller displays for the moon phase indicator and days of the week in the upper and lower sectors complete the powerful and unique visual presence of the Chapter One timepiece.
