Romain Jerome Moon Dust DNA Watch Collection

Following their success with the "Titanic DNA"  collection--notable for its use of actual material salvaged from the Titanic shipwreck--luxury watch brand Romain Jerome has taken a new thematic direction which is just as creative and exclusive.  

The Romain Jerome Collection Moon Dust-DNA watches are inspired by aerospace adventure, specifically the quest to conquer the boundary of space.  Measuring 46mm in diameter, the cases are crafted from titanium and steel or rose gold and feature carbon fiber bezels; the four peripheral elements which straddle the bezel utilize actual fragments obtained from the Apollo XI and Soyuz space shuttles, and the International Space Station ISS.  The mineral dials evoke the cratered surface of the moon and incorporate certified moon dust; the distinctive hands call to mind Sputnik antennas.  

In addition to the models with a time and sub seconds display, the Romain Jerome Collection Moon Dust-DNA line will also offer a tourbillon.  Without exception, the collection utilizes mechanical movements, and are fitted with sapphire crystals.  Straps are woven with fibers from an ISS spacesuit, and feature satin-finished metal buckles.  As a tribute to the year that man first foot on the moon, Romain Jerome will produce an edition of 1,969 pieces.
