Vacheron Constantin Quai de l'Ile Wins "Men's Watch" Jury Prize In Geneva

During the SIHH 2008 in April, Vacheron Constantin got the attention of watch enthusiasts with its Quai de l'Ile Collection, a luxury design concept that offers numerous bespoke possibilities.  On November 13th, the prestigious Swiss watch manufacturer received official recognition, claiming the Jury Prize in the "Men's Watch" category at the Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Geneve.

Standing before a sophisticated crowd of over 2,000 in Geneva's Grand Theatre, Juan-Carlos Torres, CEO of Vacheron Constantin graciously accepted the award stated: "By its decision to give first prize for the Men's Watch to Vacheron Constantin for its Quai de l'Ile, the jury of the Grand Prix d'Horlogerie of Geneva has rewarded and honored the brand's innovative and pioneering spirit, a spirit that is still intact after 250 years of accumulated savoir-faire.

The Vacheron Constantin Quai de l'Ile watch collection takes its name from the famous Geneva address of the manufacturer.  The timepieces are distinguished by an elegant yet distinctive case whose seven-piece construction permits various combinations of metals, including rose gold, palladium, and titanium.  The dials have been designed with assistance from a Swiss firm specializing in anti-counterfeiting measures for passports and currency, and feature unique security printing technologies never before seen in the world of fine timepieces.  The self-winding movements, manufactured by Vacheron Constantin, can also be personalized with different finishes.  In all, approximately 400 different combinations can be realized, according to Vacheron Constantin.
