Vacheron Constantin Malte Automatic Chronograph With Large Date

The distinguished Vacheron Constantin Malte watch collection has been enriched by a new self-winding chronograph with a large date complication.  Available in 18-karat pink or white gold, the Malte Automatic Chronograph features a polished tonneau-shaped case that measures 40mm across, an anti-reflective treated sapphire crystal, and an 18K gold dial.  Reflective of the horological arts practiced by the famous Geneva house, these gold dials are refined with a guilloche central section, a grained peripheral area, and snailed chronograph subdials.  The sword-shaped hands are crafted from gold, and display the charming detail of being polished on one side, and frosted on the other.  The chronograph hands are crafted from gold as well, but are oxidized to achieve the black finish.  Also made from gold are the pyramid-shaped markers at the five-minute intervals.  

Protected beneath the solid caseback of Vacheron Constantin's Malte Automatic Chronograph is the finely decorated 1137 caliber.  Standing at 6.60mm in height, this 37-jewel self-winding mechanical movement features a balance frequency of 28,800 alternations per hour, and a power reserve of 40 hours.   In addition to the time display with small second indication, the chronograph complication offers a 30-minute and 12-hour counter.

The Vacheron Constantin Malte Automatic Chronograph is water resistant to 30 meters.  Each watch is completed by a luxurious strap in hand-stitched alligator leather, and an 18K folding clasp shaped in the form of a half Maltese cross.
