Swiss watchmaker and jeweler Piaget will be offering a fascinating overview of its glamorous history at an exhibition entitled "Extravaganza". Held at the Piaget Time Gallery in Geneva, "Extravaganza" highlights the relationship of Piaget with some of the foremost artists of the 20th century, among them Salvador Dali, Hans Erni, and Arman, whose artistic concepts all provided inspirations for luxurious timepiece and jewelry creations. Andy Warhol, too, was a great admirer of Piaget, and Extravaganza will have on display four watches once in the private collection of the artist.
Acclaimed modern Piaget timepieces and jewelry, including the award-winning Magic Hour watch, will also be part of the exhibit in addition to an exceptional creation by French artist Pierre et Gilles that has never been publicly viewed outside of Japan.
November 24, 2008 was the first day of Piaget's "Extravaganza". The exhibition will be continued into 2009, concluding on May 17th.
